Emergency Sewer Backup – Residential, Bournemouth
The Problem
Homeowner reported raw sewage backing up through a ground-floor toilet and shower during heavy rainfall. The issue had been recurring for several months, worsening each time.
Our Solution
Our engineer attended within 40 minutes. CCTV inspection revealed a collapsed clay joint 8 metres from the property, where tree roots had infiltrated and created a solid blockage. We cleared the obstruction using high-pressure jetting, then installed a structural liner to seal the damaged joint permanently.
The Result
Full flow restored. No recurrence after 12 months. The homeowner avoided a full excavation, saving approximately £2,500 compared to a dig-and-replace approach.
